Entitled to:

Annual dues:

 $2500

Annual dues for poison center systems will be $1500 x the number of sites in the system (in 1998), and $2500 x the number of sites in the system (in 1999). Each poison center system may request that mailings be provided either to each site or to the system’s main address. Services will be proportional to the number of sites for which dues are paid (e.g., 6 ballots to each site, 4 copies of The Poison Line to each site, 6 voting members per site). Both system and site addresses will be included in the membership directory.

bulletPoison Prevention Education Center:

Membership category open only to organizations which provide community-based poison prevention education programs and services but do not provide other poison center services.

-One ballot in AAPCC elections
-One copy of the NPDS Annual Report
-Use of the AAPCC logo and educational materials
-Employees are eligible for member rate at the annual scientific meeting
-Listing in the AAPCC membership directory

NOT entitled to:

-Participation in NPDS
-Application for poison center certification
-Sit for the AAPCC Certification Exam
-AAPCC awards

Annual dues:

Membership category open to government agencies and not-for-profit organizations other than U.S. poison centers. Foreign poison centers, other than Canadian poison centers, may become Associate Institutional Members.

Entitled to:

-Employees are eligible for member rate at the annual scientific meeting
-Four copies of the NPDS Annual Report
-Listing in the AAPCC membership directory
-Appointment to AAPCC committees as nonvoting members
-Use of logo and educational materials by foreign poison centers

NOT entitled to:

-Participation in NPDS
-Application for poison center certification
-Sit for the AAPCC Certification Exam
-AAPCC grants

Membership category open to Canadian poison centers that are members of the Canadian Association of Poison Control Centres.

bulletIndustry Product Surveillance Service of Industry Poison Center
Generally, a for-profit company, consulting group, or industry-based service providing poisoning emergency consultations and responses to queries concerning selected products.  Industry product surveillance services may be offered directly by the manufacturer or distributor of the products or by a company or consulting group funded by the product manufacturer, distributor, or trade association.  Industry product surveillance services or industry poison centers may provide services for multiple manufacturers, distributors, or trade associations.

(Non-voting membership granted to U.S. individuals who: 1) have been members of the AAPCC for at least ten years and have retired; 2) are Past Presidents of AAPCC and no longer affiliated with a poison control center; or 3) have been granted honorary member status by the AAPCC Board of Directors)

bulletSustaining Member:

This category is open to organizations and individuals who wish to demonstrate their commitment to poison prevention. Sustaining members will be recognized in the annual Report of the American Association of Poison Control Centers Toxic Exposure Surveillance System, the program for the North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology, and the AAPCC Directory. Other benefits are the same as Associate Institutional Members.
