Free monographs of common drugs. Subscriber fee for monographs on investigational

EPA web site
on CCA (chromated copper arsenate)
This site provides background information on chromated copper arsenate (CCA), a
chemical mixture consisting of arsenic, chromium and copper, which is registered for wood
preservative uses. The site provides a variety of EPA's consumer resource documents,

PubMed provides access to over 12 million MEDLINE citations back to the mid-1960's and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources. Also,
a new Entrez database, Journals, provides search and display features, and includes all the journals in the Entrez databases such as PubMed, Nucleotide, and Protein.
Prolongation of the QT Interval
Run by The University of Arizona is a Center for Education on Research and Therapeutics
(CERT), this site is devoted to the education and research of drug- induced arrythmias especially
those due to prolongation of the QT interval on the ECG. Prolongation of the QT interval can result in the potentially lethal arrhythmia, torsades de pointes.
CERT has launched an "International Registry for Drug-Induced
Arrhythmias" to learn from cases of drug-induced arrhythmia now so that
they can be prevented in future cases. The site also provides lists of drugs that prolong QT or cause torsades de pointes
(www.Torsades.org).
